Viking images suggest that the lander is on the flank of a broad, gentle ridge trending northeast from Twin Peaks; this ridge may be a debris tail deposited in the wake of the peaks. They may form from remnants of any rock type, including other sedimentary rocks. It is however somewhat odd to shift the epicenter to 25.50N: 91.50E right within the Shillong Plateau and yet refer the location as ‘Mymensingh’ (Ambraseys and Douglas, 2004); nevertheless this earthquake is possibly linked with activity of the Dauki Fault.
